Pinterest Honey Pecan Glazed Salmon

TweetDespite my intentions of posting about a crafty type project, I just didn’t get around to it this week. I promise next time I will be crafty.   Well, our two oldest daughters were home from college this weekend. That means they want Momma’s home cooking. That also means no relaxing for Momma. That’s ok though, I love having them home.   I have to admit that since the holidays this past year, I’ve gotten a bit lazy about making dinner. We’ve been hitting the drive-thru a lot more that we should. I get tired of making the same things over and over again. Pinterest has definitely helped in this area. In the past few months, I’ve tried a lot of new recipes. Most have been hits, including this one…..   Source: the-girl-who-ate-everything.com via Oh So Pinteresting on Pinterest     Honey pecan glazed salmon. Doesn’t it just sound yummy? I can’t think of any honey glazed things I wouldn’t like. I did a quick Google search to see what I could find honey glazed-ham, carrots, chicken, scallops, turkey….Yes, yes and yes! The only thing that didn’t sound too appetizing was honey glazed parsnips.   Part of the girl’s coming home usually includes shopping and this weekend was no different. One of our stops included Costco. I love Costco but I think I love it a little too much. I can’t manage to not be tempted by all of the samples and by all of new things I see there each

Lasagna Soup / Success or fail?

Tweet Source: thedeenbros.com via Cynthia on Pinterest      One of my very first pins was a recipe I found for lasagna soup. It sounded interesting and was referred to as low calorie. Well, That was right up my alley! I love pasta and low calorie too?? what more could a girl ask for. I guess I could ask my imaginary personal chef  who looks just like Ryan Reynolds to feed it  to me while vacationing on my private island. Hmmmm….. Oh yeah, back to reality! Well, I gave it a shot despite the absence of Ryan and no beach in sight.     The ingredients were really common stuff. The hubby was able to easily find what I didn’t have in the pantry at our local Wally World. I hate when I find a recipe that looks yummy and I haven’t even heard of most of the ingredients much less where to find them. Don’t You?     Drum roll please……… It was a Success!!!! Thumbs up from the entire family (that rarely happens here). My hubby even asked me to make it again. In the words of the infamous Martha Stewart,”it’s a good thing”. I served the leftovers for lunch the next day. It had thickened up a bit so I added a bit more chicken broth and it was fine.     The next time I make it I’ll tweak it by adding some Italian seasoning, zucchini and maybe some mushrooms. What have you brought off the Pinterest boards lately? Tweet Read More ...

Hello and welcome!

TweetHello, my name is Cynthia and I am addicted to Pinterest. Are you? I get on at home, I have the iPhone app, I have several boards and I’m adding more all of the time. On very rare occasions, I even sneak on to Pinterest while I’m at work (Shhh… don’t tell it’s our secret).  I’ve made several recipes,  craft projects, tried household tips,  found words of inspiration, and purchased gifts inspired by Pinterest pins. I wanted to share my Pinspired successes and failures but didn’t have a  blog. Until now…. I’ll be posting my attempts at bringing my pins off of my Pinterest boards and into the real world. This is my first blogging attempt, so, lets see where it takes us! So far learning about this blogging stuff has includes several #$%@*ing moments but, I’m pretty happy with my results so far. Do you have Pinterest boards full of inspiring pins? Have you actually tried some of those ideas? How did it turn out? Success or fail?  Don’t have a blog of your own or do you have a blog or web site where you post the results your Pinterest adventures? Send me an email and I can select you and your Pinterest adventures to feature on OhSoPinteresting.com. Tweet Read More ...
