TweetSo, you’ve been on Pinterest for a while and you have a nice comfortable group of accounts to follow. They include a few friends, some co-workers and a few business accounts. But day after day you see the same kind of images over and over. You see your sister’s pins of Hawaii that help her for the trip she’s planning. You see your co-worker’s endless stream of patio ideas for the big project he has coming up this spring. You follow you favorite magazine and while you love their beauty and fashion pins, you could care less about their wedding pins. The latest thing that you’re passionate about is making SMOOTHIES!         The Power of the Search Box Pinterest to can help you find others who share your passion and it all begins with the search box.     Searching Pins Using the example of smoothies, if you type the word in the search box and hit enter or click on the magnifying glass, you’ll get a page full of smoothie pins to choose from.           On this page of smoothie pins you might find some great pins to add to your new smoothie board. Oh So Pinteresting Goes International

TweetImages of beautiful places are found all over Pinterest. Exotic beaches, glamorous cities and beautiful scenes of the countryside are just a few of the places that can be found on my Places and Spaces board on Pinterest. I feel that traveling to other places and meeting new people is one of the best things we can do to enrich our lives. Well I wish I could tell you that I just returned from a fabulous getaway but I can’t. I can tell you, that thanks to the miracle of technology and the internet, I had the opportunity to guest post from some beautiful places this week. Pinterest Tip: Linking Facebook to Pinterest for Businesses

TweetSome people cringe at the thought of linking their personal Facebook account to Pinterest but if your a blogger or own a business, you may be missing an opportunity to add Facebook followers or even potential customers. Here are tips to keep in mind when linking Facebook to your Pinterest account         Tip #1 Before Pinterest introduced business accounts, you had the option of linking it to your Twitter account or personal Facebook account.  (For accounts that have not made the switch to a business account, this feature remains the same.) According to the Pinterest support page, Facebook does not allow linking to business pages. Here’s what an account with an active link to Facebook looks like:       You can connect or disconnect your Pinterest account to Facebook in the account settings. You can find your account settings by hovering over profile image located in the top right corner of any Pinterest page. If you are absolutely sure want to keep your Pinterest account completely separate from your personal Facebook account, make sure you turn off the connection here. But, if you continue reading, you might just change your mind.       Tip #2   If you are the owner of the business or a blogger you might want to consider linking your Pinterest account to your personal Facebook page and make it work to your advantage.
