(Disclaimer: I earn a commission on products sold through the link) Halloween has taken over Pinterest and my board for Halloween projects is full of great ideas for recipes, costumes and craft projects. Including this one: Source: ourbestbites.com via Oh So Pinteresting on Pinterest Since I was a kid, one of my favorite costumes for Halloween is a witch. Remember Maleficent From Disney’s Sleeping Beauty? Beautiful but scary as heck. She’s my kind of witch and if she decorates for Halloween, this is the kind of wreath she would have on her door. Depending on the day, my kids might say she actually exists. Source: author-quest.blogspot.com via Oh So Pinteresting on Pinterest I went to OurBestBites.com to take a look to see how the wreath is made and was happy to see it was a pretty easy process. Basically, it’s strips of tulle tied around a wreath with some decorations glued on. Sounds easy enough. Let the Shopping Begin I recently read on AllFacebook.com that a Bizrate Insights study found that 70% of people surveyed look to Pinterest to find inspiration on what to buy compared to 17% using Facebook for that purpose. I know that I’m part of the 70%, because of this single pin, I shopped at 3 different stores to find the supplies. I don’t use Facebook for inspiration, do you? Home Office Redo Brings a Hybrid Pinterest Project
TweetI don’t know about you, but, I seem to be more creative and more productive when I’m in a pleasing and relaxing environment. Messy chaos is distracting. I have been on a mission to organize and decorate our home office. My husband and I share the office, so it has to be gender neutral but, it is big enough that he has his side and I have mine. While his side is very masculine with dark wood and multiple computer monitors, I wanted to make my side a bit more feminine and colorful. Of course I went to Pinterest for inspiration. My side of the office has recessed area that is wide enough for a desk but had a lot of open space left above. I could have filled it with art work but I wanted something a bit more functional. During one of my many Pinterest pinning sessions, I found a pin for floating shelves. Ah ha! Shelves are a perfect solution for filling all of that space. I can use them for storage and decorate them with some of my favorite treasures. Here’s a peek of the shelves in progress… The inspiration for these shelves came from Sherry and John over at Young House Love . I would like to say that my husband and I are as talented they are and made these all by ourselves, but, I have to be honest, we hired someone. We could never find the time to get it

Decorating Geek Style with Pinterest
TweetThis guest post is by Miranda Sanchez of Press X Twice When I first received my Pinterest invitation email, I was elated. At the time, Pinterest was some secretive website that no one knew much about. Once I got my email, I excitedly made my account. And then it sat there for a really long time with no pins and only a few followers. It wasn’t until this summer that Pinterest sparked my interest. It was a gradual growing relationship, starting off as a small spark that eventually became a strong flame. I just took my relationship with Pinterest to the next level: actually doing my pins. Lately I’ve been searching for cute decorations that reflect my nerdy passions for my new apartment. As you can imagine, that’s not an easy feat. This is where this pin came into play. So instead of having bare walls I will now have these geeky beauties from my favorite video game series. The top left is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, top right is BioShock, bottom left is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the bottom right is Halo 4: Wall Art Supplies They weren’t really that difficult to make. Here are all the things I used: ModPodge Scissors Short Ruler Shoebox Lid Foam Brush Magazine Clippings Box Cutter Pen Tape Wall Art Assembly After I rounded up all my materials, I measured and marked 4 x 4 inch squares in my
