How to Change Pinterest Board Cover Images

A while back I showed you how to organize your messy Pinterest boards into what some would consider a work of art. Today’s Pinterest tip is going to take your boards to the next level. Make your boards more than just ordinary, make them into a masterpiece by setting your board cover images! Why bother changing the board cover image? How to Share Instagram Photos on Pinterest

Tweet****Update***** The method for pinning from Instagram has changed since this post was written. Click here to see the latest method.    With the enormous growth of Pinterest and the $1 billon acquisition of Instagram by Facebook, 2012 will be known as the year when images came to rule social media. While Instagram is primarily a photo sharing app for smart phones, earlier this month it found its way to the web. Instagram users can now access their images and profiles online.     Pinterest + Instagram   Like the magic that happens when chocolate is combined with peanut butter, we can make magic when we combine Instagram with Pinterest. Online Instagram images can be pinned to Pinterest in a few easy steps.   To do this, you must already have an Instagram account.  Go to instagram.com and click on your account.     Log in using your username and password.     To get to your Instagram images, click on your username in the top right corner. Then, from the drop-down menu, click on view profile.       Here’s a peek of Oh So Pinteresting on Instagram     Let the Magic Begin   To pin Instagram photos to your Pinterest acoount from the web, you’need to use the “Pin it” button from your browser’s bookmarks bar. If you don’t have it installed, GASP! Using Pinterest to Lower the Unemployment Rate

TweetWe don’t see many of these signs around anymore, a lot of business have moved to online job boards to advertise open positions. Most job seekers follow suit and post their resumes online hoping for a match.   If you’re on a job hunt or have a job to fill, have you considered taking a look at Pinterest?   Job Searches:   Companies are jumping on the Pinterest bandwagon in droves to leverage its marketing potential but some have taken it to a whole new level. They are not only using Pinterest to promote their products, they are using it to promote themselves as a good place to work.   Example 1. Lululemon Athletica is a Vancouver based retail company specializing in yoga clothes and running gear. On their Pinterest board called ‘Lululemon | Possibilities’ they have created pins for available job opportunities. The positions are mostly in their Vancouver corporate office but they also have some US based management positions pinned too.     Most of their pins have a clickable email link to send in your resume. If you click through on the pin it links to either their corporate website or to their Facebook page where you can learn more about the job. They also have a ‘People|Profiles’ board where they feature employees. This along with the images they use with each pin, help to promote the athletic and energetic culture of Lululemon.   Example 2. Fast food chain Taco Bell has taken this a step further
